[Thing is, Ochako's still in Hero Mode, despite the pain and fury still roiling inside her. Despite the tears falling down her rosy cheeks, and clinging to her long lashes. Despite all of that, she still has to focus on Shinsou, his injury, and getting them both out of here.

So, as she scrubs her face of tears, gritting her teeth to try and halt the flow of them, she's moving to his side quickly to look him over.]

Fine. I'm fine... [She more certainly is not fine, but that's something to address later.] You're hurt...don't move too, and let me see. I have to move your shirt up a little, or take it off, but I can probably bandage it.

[The towel she brought down she can probably rip into strips of cloth or gauze to soak up anything.]

What? But-

[ He's not startled by her suggestion, he's... saddened? The tone is more like the words are dying on his tongue. He didn't think he was the priority.

So yeah, don't think he's gonna let that one slide. For now, he'll let her examine him, though. He thinks it's bad, but not a grievous threat at the moment. Meanwhile she's going through it. ]

Fine...

[ He figures this might need repairing afterwards. Like a whole new back piece. So he raises up the tattered remains to reveal the gashes, letting it more or less gather at his shoulders. ]

... You were really good, Hero Course.

[Anyone who gets hurt, once the battle is over, will always be a priority to Ochako. Being a Hero isn't all about winning fights and beating up villains - it's about making sure people are safe and their wounds are tended to from any kind of disaster. She dutifully cleans and wraps up the scratches as best she can - nothing deep, mostly flesh wounds that look way less than they are - and is quiet throughout other than mostly telling Shinsou what she's doing and the scope of his injuries. It's very practiced.

When he praises her though... Ochako falls quiet. There's still a lot to unpack about all of this, and she's not exactly sure what will come out if she does. Anger? Sorrow? Frustration? Guilt? It could be any or all of those feelings, and she's not...really pressed to share all that vulnerability and weakness with Shinsou. He doesn't deserve all that, on top of what happened today. It's her troubles. She can...sh-she can put them away, with all the other unnecessary feelings. Just like she always does. It's fine.]

Mmh...we should probably get going. B-Back out the way we came in. Are you okay to move?

[ He doesn't expect her to share all of her feelings, but that doesn't stop him from being concerned. He'd been trying to say something nice, maybe break the ice a bit, snap her out of her bad mood. ]

I'm no good at this...

[ Being subtle, that is. Augh. So he turns back towards her, still hanging out near the ground. ]

I can walk. Do you need a minute? ... Alone?

[Ochako feels a bit bad, and she lowers her gaze and bites the inside of her cheek. It's not that she doesn't trust Shinsou, or want him to try and help, it's that this has happened so much that she's beyond frustrated with herself for being fooled AGAIN. Once or twice would have been understandable, but this is the fourth time. And her mother of all people...one of the two people Ochako loves more than anyone else in any fucking world.

But the idea of being alone makes her want to vomit, so she's quick to answer.]

No. [He doesn't need to say anything, doesn't need to do anything to try and cheer her up, it'll all pass eventually. All she really needs is for Shinsou to just--] ...Stay.

[And her hand reaches out to grasp lightly at his shirt as her throat closes up and she begins to sniffle and shake, and squeak out tiny sobs.]

... I wasn't trying to leave. [ He clarifies; he makes no move to pull away from her, not even to turn around. ]

I just... You tell me. What would you expect a Hero to do - finding a comrade upset, someone else you know to be strong - in a situation like this? Are they just supposed to ignore those emotions their comrade is suffering? Did they teach you that in class yet?

[ Not a civilian. He can guess a thousand ways just from watching TV alone, even if for him they might be a bit of a stretch to seem genuine. In this case, he's struggling, because this is the sort of thing they can't get on camera. If they do deal with it, it's in private. ]

Because I don't want to do nothing and I don't want you to have to deal with this alone... But I don't want to upset you more by acting out of turn, either.

[That's...a good question. Ochako is barely holding it together right now as is, desperately trying to dam up the raging torrent of emotions that is threatening to burst out of her at any second. Her mother. This particular fake used her mother against her this time, and she fell for it. Everything hurts, and she wants to just crumble away and scream and shout and cry, but.

She can't. Ochako can't because she doesn't want to burden Shinsou with something like that. A Hero Course hopeful, and this is how one of the students of the infamous Class A behaves in the face of a threat? How utterly shameful. If any one of her teachers saw her now, they'd probably be appalled, Ochako's traitorous mind tells her. No, she has to, like everything else, put those feelings away. Deal with them later, when she's by herself. Then she can have her moment. Not now.

"I don't want you to have to deal with this alone..."]

I'm...fine. [Liar.] I-I'll be...f-fine. Tha...th-thank you, Shinsou-kun. [Breathe. Slowly. In and out.] I...don't have a good answer to that. It depends on the person. But...w-we should--a Hero should always m-make sure no one is, hurt, and...a-and that all civilians are s-safe. First. Once that's done then...th-then--

...C-Comfort them. I can't tell you how, b-but...mo-most Heroes know each other w-well or, have w-worked together before... Some are good friends, too. So. [She sniffs, breathing a bit quick, ragged. They should really leave, this place is just making her feel sick the more Ochako lingers.] Th-That should make it easier.
