Setting it down very carefully - Katsuki will get a very quick text message back accompanied by a selfie of Ochako grinning next to the set up model, throwing up a peace sign.]

[ Ochako didn't think the tea present was it, did she?? Not when there's also a birthday to celebrate! On the morning of Ochako's birthday, Momo is waiting in the kitchen, looking a bit of a mess, but with freshly made strawberry crepes to show for it! And beside the plate at Ochako's place on the kitchen table is a wrapped gift, containing a solar powered model replica of the planet Jupiter. Momo waits for her to open it, then adds eagerly, ] I thought it would be an appropriate gift, what with the current astronomical phenomenon!

[She actually did think the tea present was everything, yes?! So color Ochako, still a bit groggy from sleeping in - the holiday festivities, even a few days later, was pretty exhausting - totally surprised as she walks into the kitchen to see a messy looking Momo and a plate of delicious looking crepes and a present for her.]

Aaah, Momo-chan!! Th-Thank you so much! [She had gotten so wrapped up in the Christmas holiday that Ochako sort of...forgot about her birthday, to be quite honest. The days really sort of blurred together, and went by so fast. She opens up her gift, gasping as her eyes go wide and shiny. Oh my gosh! Everyone getting her space-themed things makes Ochako giggle, and grin wide.] It's amazing!! I love it! I promise I'll take good care of it.

Fuu will get a return card in the mail a few days later, a rather cute but simple card...though it is absolutely riddled with bull stickers of all kinds, and some flowers, stars and moons, and of course some very adorable orange stickers. Maybe a few doodles as well...Ochako got some adorable stationary for Christmas, so she's definitely making use of it.

[This reason, among many, is probably why the two are such good friends now. Ochako shares the same sentiment as Lillie, and it really...makes her heart warm. For all the people that have left her so suddenly recently - Momo being the latest, which hit Ochako rather hard - she...has to remember that she will see them again some day. That despite who she is now, and who Lillie is at this very moment...their core values and personalities will remain the same overall. The gentle kindness that each of the two girls hold in their hearts...it will draw them to each other again. One day. And perhaps then, when they time comes...

Oh, do you use the metric system? Measurements aren't really all that difficult if you have the right tools and know the conversions! Ehehe, it very well could be that whatever recipe you were using may have used a different metric system than what you're used to!! I'm still struggling a bit in America, since they use, um...pounds, inches, and miles instead of kilograms, centimeters, and kilometers. It's so much different than Japan! But I'm pretty good at math, so I can usually get the measurements right when I remember the formula. Same with Fahrenheit to Celsius!! That was the hardest for me to get used to!!

Ehehe, but I'd love to help you cook sometime, of course!! I may not be the best, but I know a few recipes my mama taught me back home, and I can make them really well! And I can follow a basic recipe, too. Baking is pretty simple, but cooking can get difficult... We'll learn together!!

I'm not sure which system I use. It's the one with cups and teaspoons though! I get some things mixed up a lot though. Especially teaspoons and tablespoons. I also learned the hard way to try to make things as even with the top of the measuring cups as you can! [ She looks sad for juuuust a moment, thinking back on what had happened to her first batch of cookies, and how she hadn't made sure any of the ingredients didn't go over the edges of the spoons... ] At least I am good at not burning things...

Yeah! If we work together we'll both get better faster, and we'll have a lot of fun in the process! I know a few recipes too. The professors back home taught me how to make some things. We'd cook an clean up together as a family [ And ah, how she smiles at that. ] They showed me that anything can be fun and help people get closer so long as it's with others!

The first sentence makes her tilt her head with a frown, then she continues reading like instructed, mostly our of curiosity, but once the realization sinks in, she freezes up and almost turns her phone off. Almost. Don't be a baby. ...Right.]

You're right, it doesn't change anything - you're still you, and I'm still me.

But regardless, each time I saw someone about to get hurt, and I can't allow that, especially not a CHILD. I'm sorry if I invaded something private of yours, I had no say in the matter, but... Hero or not, I wouldn't forgive myself for not interfering there. I don't regret it.

[Here comes a call from an unexpected source! When Ochako answers the call, she'll be greeted by the sight of Bennett's face, but... There's definitely something wrong on his end. There appears to be a hairline crack running up through the middle of his video, and part of it is blocked by a long green bar.

The problems make themselves even more apparent when he speaks, his audio sounding tinny and slightly distorted.]

The username she's seen around the network before, but never really committed it to memory, but when she sees a familiar face...face?? She's assuming it's a face? The video is very glitchy and pixelated, like an online video losing frames in the middle of a huge and crazy stream - usually unofficial online channels, streaming the hero ranking events -but she can...slightly make out someone.

Ehh...you're, um. B-Bennett...right? H-Hi...again. What in the world happened to your phone? You look an sound like you went through a blender.

Ochako's reaction, frankly, gives way for Yuzu's own fear. She's younger than Ochako, after all, so when she loses it... ]

S-SO AM I!! I-I DONT WANNA BE HERE ANYMORE!!

[ ...she holds Ochako tighter as they both scream in terror, both of them at the verge of tears. She can't handle this! She wants to go home! She wants her dad! Fortunately, she notices the trapdoor unearthed by Ochako's burst of magic. Considering the fact that there are hands and faces surrounding them on all the walls... it's not like they have many other options now. ]

[There's only do much one can take, even someone like Ochako. She can deal with villains and weird quirks, even blood and things like that, but...this is all something else entirely. Ochako is just plain scared, terrified, and she wants nothing more than to cry and get out of here as fast as possible. She wants to wake up from this godawful nightmare and pretend it never, ever happened.

But the thing is, she just...can't leave, either. She can't, even though she wants to so, so bad. Not until everyone is safe, and they find their guide and make sure that they're still...okay. Ochako doens't dare think of the possibility they could be killed, because...w-well. Given how this dumb house is, the probability is extremely high and she just...wouldn't be able to take that, mentally.

Through her tears, Ochako looks to where Yuzu mentioned and leaps upon the trapdoor, flinging it open. It desends into nothing but darkness, but...really? What option do they have?! Ochako's not about to stick around and find out what the hell those creepy faces and hands in the walls have in store for them. Grabbing Yuzu's hand, she pulls her toward the dark hole in the floor.]

On three!! One, two--! [And before either of them can chicken out, Ochako inhales sharply and jumps. Thankfully, her kinetic magic kicks in again, so they don't really fall so much as slowly waft down like two feathers, but...they're out of that one room. Where they are now remains to be a mystery, but...they're in one piece.]

[Indeed, now that Ochako has stopped really thinking about her crush on the green-haired boy, and can actually think straight and talk to him about fun things they did back home, she barely even realizes just how close they actually are, and how she's leaning into and against him sometimes. This is just them talking together - a conversation between two people. Even if it's a little intimate, Ochako feels, finally...

Ah, Eri-chan, did?! Uwaaah, I'm so glad she had such a good time!! [Laughing, Ochako twirls around with Deku a little bit, in a wide and sweeping circle, gripping his hand tightly and giving it a squeeze.] I really hope she's doing alright...hee. Eri-chan is so cute, I miss her.

[The girl practically got all but adopted by the class, especially those directly involved with her rescue, Like Ochako, Deku, and Kirishima. She's always a treat to have in the dorms, when she does pay visits to them.]

Ahh...I'm really not...I just like to move and have fun. Things like this make me feel really relaxed. Especially when I do it with some I l-- [HRRK!] I-I mean such a close friend!!

[It's a lot easier to gain his own nerve back once she's calmed down and smiling too! Her energy is always infectious like that. While it still makes his cheeks feel warm and his body movements mechanical it gets so much easier once they relax and start talking about the school festival and Eri-chan. Izuku smiles and finally looks at Ochako, twirling with her in a sweep, and follows with less than clumsy feet for now! He's managing it! He's doing it! Maybe dancing really isn't so nerve-wracking!]

I'm glad we had the chance to show her something like the festival, the look on her face when I met up with her and Togata-senpai afterward... Haha, I hope we can see them again soon, too.

[He squeezes her hand back and even swallows back the nervous little jolt he gets.]

[She does, and that's why it was just a brief touch, just to toe the lines of his limits a little bit - challenge his boundaries just enough before pulling back again. It's how Ochako figures she can understand him better - to know what she can and can't get away with, as well as to push Bakugou to be a better person and open up to things he has trouble dealing with and build up his tolerance over time. Slowly. Patiently.

It's also why she doesn't press him now, after he speaks, and just smiles a little with a soft sigh.]

[There has been a lot going on... Even Izuku who kind of prefers it when things keep him busy- is overwhelmed sometimes. And recently with the quests and more namely the doppelganger incidents... Izuku feels like he needs to reach out to Ochako. After all of that, is she okay? Katsuki had told him that she and he had struggled against and clone of Katsuki himself but Izuku's own fake had also been running around.

Ne... Uraraka-san? Are you busy?

[Ochako enjoys keeping her schedule full as well, of course, considering they're no longer taking daily classes and doing homework, but...the recent slew of events has had a pretty big impact of the girl. Nearly dying due to spider venom was certainly harrowing, and she has a half-faded scar on her side to remind her of it for the rest of her life, but in all honesty? That wasn't nearly as bad as dealing with the dopplegangers. Physical pain can be healed. Her life was saved in the end. Plus, putting one's life on the line for the sake of the mission, for the sake of others, is the duty of a hero. She knows this. Ochako anticipates that her life will be in danger if she wants to call herself a hero. That she can more or less deal with, sometimes.

The same can't be said for the mental and emotional strain the dopplegangers put on her heart. Having her question her relationships with her closest friends, people that she deeply cares about...not being able to really tell them apart...that hurts. Or denying the truth because she so desperately craved the reality the fake presented to her. All that weighed heavily on the girl, who puts so much stock in the bonds she makes with those around her. Ochako loves not only Izuku, but Bakugou as well. They're both her dear friends, and to have those bonds used against her...hurts. How could she be so easily fooled by Bakugou's fake? Does she even really know him? Can she consider herself his friend at all, if she just took a shot in the dark and hoped for the best? How is that respecting him? How is that acknowledging his growth? What if she hurt him? What then? Hasn't he suffered enough?

And Izuku...Izuku.

The hardest pill to swallow. The copy used her feelings for him against her. Drew her in close, gave her what she thought she wanted, and it makes Ochako's skin crawl to think that, at first, she was ready to brush it off. Ready to sink into that false love. It makes Ochako hate herself, and she has been effectively avoiding the two boys as much as she could...at least until she was paired with Bakugou on a quest by sheer coincidence. Now Izuku is calling her and she hesitates to pick up. On the last ring of her phone, Ochako takes a deep breath and answers.]

Oh!! Hi, Deku-kun! Ah...b-busy? [Don't ask to see her. Ochako's not sure she can say no.] Mm...n-not particularly, I-I think. Why? Is something the matter?

It is a lot...I'm not sure I understand all of it, but I think I understand well enough what you had to do.

[And why it was necessary. It's a hard pill to swallow, and Ochako still feels like she's choking on it a little, but she does at least accept it. It's not like she can change what happened or anything, anyway - it's not her world, not her culture, not her business to say or do anything.]

Not exactly, but...you know I'm a Hero in my world, yeah? Well, obviously there's going to be villains, too. Some are just petty thieves and crooks, but others are really bad. Serial murderers, arsonists, terrorists, all that sort of thing. There's one particular group that calls themselves the League of Villains as well - and they're perhaps the worst of the worst.

Even so, how we're taught in school is that we, as Heroes, shouldn't kill. It's against the law, no matter how you really look at it, and no one is above the law. or they shouldn't be...just because they're considered 'Heroes'. I've seen people kill here, from the first time I showed up, and...I can't really agree with it. But I do understand why it's necessary, I think.

Sometimes just locking someone up forever won't work. As much as I think people in my world would like it to.

[There never seemed to be any famous ones in her world, beyond what regular people used. Renegades were usually hunted down or rarely left alone anyway. It's one of the things that makes Homura not scoff at the idea of not killing people. She could only make guesses as to why heroes refused to kill people. Thankfully, there were two teams who seemed to kinda fit the bill for "heroes," even if there were some doubts thanks to recent events.]

Maybe it's also because they don't want killing to be normal. Moving into that area, I did so out of anger at first before it became my duty. Just became common to me until my friends helped me open up. Hell, I thought it would be easy here too. Then I got reminded I have a conscience now and...I dunno.

[She leaned back against the wall with her hands behind her head now, sighing.]

I guess if it became too easy, a hero would be no different from us shinobi, or any soldier really. Killing was easy, almost too easy when I slipped into it with others. Some were insane bastards almost like Dogen. Others were just part of a job. Like, before Dogen, the scroll he wanted could turn people insane through magic. Many of our subordinates on the mission, our classmates, became crazy killers, forcing us to off them. Making the call was easy then, and I didn't even think much of it. Just thought they were too weak.

Would you be surprised when that shit happened again, we tried really hard to just knock them out at least?

[It was hard. Left themselves more vulnerable, using more energy just to make sure they stayed down. Far from easy, they didn't always succeed, yet when that decision was made, the old Homura started to vanish.]

[Ochako is looking too, but instead of following her eyes, she follows her nose. She's picking up a scrumptious smell wafting her way from down a few dozen meters off. There's a pleasant hum and her stomach growls as Ochako also starts to waft in that direction.]

Eh...no, not that. I'd have saved him either way - that sort of punishment is just plain wrong, no matter what - but I mostly wonder...what it was testing. Helping versus not helping? Stopping people from throwing stuff? Being able to get away after, and what one would do if caught? I just don't understand that part.

Oh, that. I guess you're not used to seeing the stocks used. Every place has their rules about when to use them; I think it was down to use deciding if we should help the guy or if he deserved his punishment. Still, not cool to judge someone like that, but that's how it is sometimes.

Also, don't worry about helping in that situation. People stuck in stocks are usually over small crimes. Anything else, and they're locked away or executed.
