[Ochako doesn't need the encouragement, though if he caught her staring and supported her, she might just fluster and sputter and float away to space. It's something Ochako is trying to come to terms with - just how drop dead gorgeous her two classmates are, and how much she enjoys just taking them in sometimes. She doesn't want to see them just for their looks, and heaven knows she doesn't like them because of just that, or is...starting to like like them because of just that, but. Ugh. It's hard having emotions. Feelings are dumb and bad.
So! Ochako simply shakes her head free of sin all those thoughts and instead follows after Todoroki into the stables proper. She's looking around curiously, turning her head and trying to peer into the pens to catch sight of something, but they're too far ahead for her to really catch more than a bit of movement and mostly just sounds of the animals living in their pens and moving about.
That is. Until she's looking upon actual beasts of myth and legend, and the look on her face is rather hysterical, actually. Stopping dead in her tracks, Ochako's mouth hangs open and her eyes bug out as she sees a motherfucking unicorn and a goddamn pegasus just. Vibing. Her mouth opens and closes, as if she were expecting to speak or say something, but words are hard right now. She jerks her head to Todoroki, then back to the equine beasts, then back again. Ochako finally makes a sound, and it's just the harsh sucking in of air through her wide open mouth.
[[That was his reaction, too, the one where he was a little less animated and his eyebrows were lifted, maybe. More or less in awe that these creatures existed at all let alone existed in a place he worked. There were other creatures, too, but he knew these would probably be the ones she'd like to see the most.]]
I felt the same way.
[[While her attention was on the animals, his had been on her. The look on her face definitely was a good one and he stepped forward after making sure she wasn't going to do some loud, girlish noise. His hand extended he moved toward the pegasus.]]
We can't ride them, but you can come pet it if you wish. I have to feed them later, but I can do it now, if you want to keep them company while I get it.
[It's true. Ochako definitely is a bit more taken by these types of creatures than certain others - she's a young, teenage girl and definitely reads shoujo manga and watches the same kinds of anime. The theme of pegasi and unicorns is brought up quite a bit. Not only that, but her space nerd vibes are going haywire - Pegasus is a constellation, after all, and she's internally screaming at the implications this could have.
Maybe this shitty island isn't so bad...in some ways. Or, at least the people on it aren't. If they can make things like this that help support life here, and have spaceships and mythical beasts, they can't all be bad. In fact, many of the folks she's met were pretty cool. It is what they make of it - this crappy scenario, and Todoroki's made the most of it this way.]

[She's a bit nervous, not wanting to spook the gorgeous thing, but when Todoroki moves closer, she hangs behind just a second then cautiously approaches. She's barely encountered an actual horse before, let alone a pegasus, so she tentatively reaches out her hand to stroke it. She's completely awestruck still, but when the beast doesn't seem to shy away from her, and instead presses its nose into her palm, the smile spreads wide on her face and reaches deep into her eyes as well.
Holy shit. She is petting a real life pegasus right now. And though she isn't screaming or making any loud noises, Ochako's going absolutely mental internally.]
