Hello, everyone!! I'm not here right now - probably in class or with my friends! Or on a mission. Um...leave me a message here and I'll get back to you soon, okay? Bye!!

AWESOME XDD and thanks for your patience!

[Yes, do that. Don't be like Jane. Value sleep and sanity and all that comes with it.

Live your best life, Ochako.]

Oh, I know where that is! I'm in an apartment maybe a mile or two from there.

[Jane completely understood. Some things slipped by, while other things, remained stuck. It was an aspect of the human mind she didn't understand and didn't think anyone would be able to.]

Meet at the beach, then? More room for our powers!

to action!! & truer words have never been spoken

[That is probably a good thing, as school could be demanding no matter where one went or what the curriculum was like.]

Great! See you soon!

[Jane is dressed in her usual plaid shirt and jeans, but with a pair of rainboots. They were useful and had rubber soles in case the lightning got out of control! Which it would not, because Mjolnir was nice like that.]

Hey, Ochako!

[Oh, Jane would so be up for some pointers! The finer aspects of her powers are still kind of hard to control. She can lift tiny objects for a bit, but not a lot of them. On the opposite spectrum, she can lift or hold heavy objects, but it's very clumsy.]

Hey, there! No, you didn't! Just let me know when you need a break or have to head back home.

[They could end up spending hours experimenting and having fun.]

Okay, good! We can both sleep in tomorrow!

[Luckily, Jane only had afternoon classes.]

I’d love to see yours! It was something you were born with, right?

[AHHHHH THIS WAS SO COOL]

[Exactly. They can bury it or just move it over into the ocean. It would be fine. And they could easily take a break at the beach too! Lots of room to just fall down and go, "Ouch."

Jane watches Ochako use her powers, curious about the pink glow or why it is restricted to her having to touch something first. It probably makes it easier to control. But it was pretty amazing seeing her so at ease in the air. Jane rarely did that herself, focusing on theoretical applications and manipulations of objects.

At her offer, Jane holds out her hand, eager to give it a try.]

Go for it! I trust you!

Are your fingers—

[Her question is interrupted when she’s suddenly floating in midair, being moved around with ease. It takes her breath away!]

Whoa!

[She listens intently as Ochako explains how she uses her powers and enacts that explanation, moving her around with an ease that Jane is a little envious of. It feels odd, to be floating like this, under someone else’s power, but the gears in her mind are turning.]

That is amazing! And all of this starts when you touch someone? Is it the pads on your fingers specifically or could you touch someone with your bare elbow?

[Jane watches intently and almost does fall on her butt when she says the release word, but manages to catch herself at the last moment. She appreciates the hand to stabilize herself, because as much as she has made herself levitate, it’s still disorientating to be weightless.]

But that’s a clever way to keep that from happening! I guess it’s a good thing your feet or shoulders don’t do the same thing, or you might have trouble with a number of activities.

[Like making water in an ocean float if she were to not wear a full wet suit.]

Can you do that again?

[Side effects from using powers always sucked—Jane got tired after so long and if she pushed herself, she would get headaches too. She even got migraines when she first started using them.]

Thanks! What uses do you use it for? Every day, I mean.

[Jane, in the meantime, experiments with moving around a little and testing how Ochako’s ability feels compared to her own. It’s different, to not be thinking about the gravitational fields and applying different forces, but fundamentally, she is beginning to think their abilities are the same.]

[That is awful! It was good that she worked on endurance and she had her suit to help with the side effects, but she wished that she didn’t have to deal with them in the first place.]

Oh, I’ll have to remember that—I tend to crawl on my stomach still. Unless I’m using it for an experiment or a lab demonstration, I kind of forget I even have any powers.

[Indeed, and one couldn't always depend on environmental factors to keep people from becoming villains. Morality sometimes changed, as did perceptions of what was right or just.]

Oh, yeah! Here, let me get down.

[But when she does, Jane remains up in the air of her own volition. She'll call for Mjolnir soon.]

What I'm doing isn't really taking away something's gravity, but changing the amount of gravity acting upon it. So, I can make something heavy or something light not fly off.

Exactly!

[Jane grins and then floats back down to the ground.]

It took me a lot of practice to get the hang of it, because if I'm not careful, I could accidentally crush something or send it flying off the planet.
